OSlove reflects on the personal attachment to one's interface of choice in daily computing activity, a.k.a the operting system. Whether the shiny icons, or the familiar layout, or the tedious customization, there are features, or possibilities, or politcs that tie us to a particular set of applications and operating systems. The operating system in question here is an obsolete version of Linux, as many are today This particular imagery is an ode to an obsolete distribution of Linux, #crunchbang, celebrating a surprising feature at the time, the way its printscreen software shows the “just taken” image on the desktop, immediately after it's taken, thus creating a possibility for a Russian doll setting, or a tunnel of immersion into our Desktop environment.
